Los Gatos Barber — Brand Identity, Logo & Website Launch

The Challenge

Los Gatos Barber operates inside London Reign salon on N Santa Cruz Avenue, in one of the most affluent and design-conscious towns in the Bay Area. That location is an advantage and a constraint at the same time.

A barbershop operating within another business has a specific problem: it has to read as its own destination. If the brand isn't distinct, customers experience it as a chair inside someone else's salon rather than a place they chose. And in Los Gatos, where the surrounding retail sets a high visual standard, looking improvised isn't a small disadvantage — it's disqualifying.

The shop was starting from nothing. No logo, no visual identity, no website, no social presence. Everything a customer would use to decide whether this was worth their time and money simply didn't exist yet. And the timeline that matters for a new local business is short: a barbershop earns back its buildout through repeat clients, and repeat clients start with a first booking.

Solution & Strategy

We built Los Gatos Barber's entire presence from zero — identity first, then the site, then the channels that carry it.

The logo and visual system came first, because everything downstream depends on it. The mark had to feel established rather than new, and confident rather than loud — the visual language of a shop that belongs on a street where the neighbors are boutiques and design studios. That identity then carried consistently into the website, the social profiles, and the shop's own materials, so a customer encountering the brand on Instagram and later on Google sees the same business both times.

The website was deliberately built as a single focused page rather than a sprawling multi-section site. A barbershop has one conversion, and every additional page is a place for a visitor to lose the thread. The layout moves in a straight line: what this place is, what it does, and how to book — with the booking action repeated at every point where a visitor might be ready to act. Six services are presented with clear descriptions, so a customer knows what they're getting before they arrive.

Because the majority of local grooming searches happen on a phone, the mobile experience drove the layout decisions. The address is paired with an embedded map, the phone number is tap-to-call, and booking is never more than one tap from wherever the visitor happens to be on the page. Someone searching "barber near me" in Los Gatos can go from result to booked appointment without a single detour.

Social setup completed the launch. Profiles were established and brought in line with the brand identity, giving the shop the channel where barbershop discovery actually happens — visual proof of the work, published where new customers look before they commit.

The outcome is a business that opened looking like it had been there for years.
